Debriefing form_Final_DeNeys2021: The debriefing form used in all four versions of the experiment. Recruitment plan for DeNeys Replication: This is an email that our professor Dr. Andrew Kelly sent out to his colleagues in order to recruit participants for our study. He mentioned a .5 point extra credit for students who participate in the survey. DeNeys Final Survey - A Qualtrics version of our survey. Randomization to the different versions happens within the survey. Survey Version 1: includes informed consent, control version of the question first and the standard version last. It also includes the confidence ratings for each question and ends with the debriefing form. Survey Version 2: includes informed consent, standard version of the question first and the control version last. It also includes the confidence ratings for each question and ends with the debriefing form. Survey Version 3: includes informed consent, control version of the question first and the standard version last. It also includes the confidence ratings for each question and ends with the debriefing form. Survey Version 4: includes informed consent, standard version of the question first and the control version last. It also includes the confidence ratings for each question and ends with the debriefing form. These four versions were used in the original study, as in the current replication, to ensure that the question content does not have any bearing on the results.
