Description: Making informed clinical and health decisions based on the best available scientific evidence is essential to ensure the quality of care (optimization of health outcomes). A validated methodological approach based on innovative technological tools for systematic evidence identification, evaluation, and synthesis, known as Living evidence, may allow for more efficient production of UpToDate evidence synthesis to inform healthcare decisions. It is essential to build capacity among healthcare professionals. This a knowledge transfer (KT) resarch proposal that has two main objectives: 1) to develop and evaluate the capacity building strategy applied to do so among the different actors of the national health system (i.e. healthcare professionals members of health technology assessment agencies and clinical practice guideline developing organizations among other) 2) to assess the efficacy and usability of a framework (Living Evidence to inform health decisions framework-LE-THD framework-) developed to incorporate the living evidence synthesis in the usual development of knowledge transfer products (i.e. health technology assessment reports, clinical practice guidelines, policy briefs) The project targets Spanish National Health System organizations in charge of developing knowledge transfer products to inform their own health decisions or to support decision-makers.
