**NA2: Harmonisation of policies and best practices, training and support** This work package will ensure effective harmonisation, delivery and dissemination of best practices and standard operating procedures across the consortium, assisting in training, providing helpdesk support and developing support resources as required. The key issues in this work package relate to coordination in policy development processes, harmonisation of policy implementation actions and the support activities, including training and helpdesk. The Distributed European School of Taxonomy-DEST (via CETAF) will be utilised for training actions when feasible. **Objectives** 1. Create implementation guidance for policies relevant to collections and research 2. Identify, compile and disseminate best practices and standard operating procedures, including provision for less well harmonised collections such as geological and archaeological material 3. Operate training programmes to build capacity and support practitioners to expand digital workforce skills 4. Develop training material and online resources to illustrate best practices on prioritised management topics 5. Provide helpdesk support resources associated with the SYNTHESYS+ systems. **Deliverables** D2.1: Consolidated document on Policy topics and related Best Practices and Standards as a basic manual for policy implementation [month 45] D2.2: Joint dashboard of collections assessment tools based on a database of collections assessments [month 18] D2.3: Catalogue of training modules to form a training programme to be utilised by DEST [month 24] ---------- [Task 2.1: Coordinate harmonisation of policies and facilitate implementation of policy mandates][1] [Task 2.2: Integrate and expand institutional collection assessments][2] [Task 2.3: Develop focused training activities][3] [Task 2.4: Run helpdesk for online support][4] [1]: https://osf.io/4kts8/wiki/home/ [2]: https://osf.io/fvqmc/wiki/home/ [3]: https://osf.io/4bmfw/wiki/home/ [4]: https://osf.io/gwbqk/wiki/home/
