Additional data was added to the dataset from Research Question. New data points included the year when the article was published, if the article was published prior to or after PRISMA, first author country of affiliation, world sub-region and region (using United Nations M49 codes and classification scheme), if the publication mentioned PRISMA in its abstract, in the full text of the document, the described use of PRISMA in the full text, the journal in which the manuscript was published, and if the journal included PRISMA in its Instructions for Authors (as either a recommendation or requirement).
