Wiki Version:
This repository contains supplemental data and code to the paper *Advocating a new default for time series modeling: Asymmetric temporal dynamics using threshold dynamics parameters*. We provide Stan implementations of two types of models: Dynamic Structural Equation Models (DSEM) and Random Cross-Lagged Panel Models (RICLPM). For both models, there is a standard symmetric implementation and an implementation that allows for asymmetric temporal dynamics above and below the time series mean, an approach we coin DYNamics of ASymmetric TIme series (DYNASTI). The repository currently contains models for detrended data, models with trend (*-withtrend*), models with missing value imputation (*-withimputation*) and models to test for group differences in model parameters (*-groupdiffs*). It also contains RMarkdown files for reproducing the three empirical illustrations in the paper and a preprint of the paper (*preprint_DYNASTI.pdf*).
