Wiki Version:
The HAS study is part of the OOLS project that seeks to examine overconfidence over the life-span. The HAS study seeks a new sampling procedure for gathering an age-diverse sample on which to test the replicability of prior results. In partcular, we were concerned that our prior reliance on online samples might have biased our conclusions, given that 70-year-olds who wind up as MTurk workers may be less representative of other 70-year-olds than the 20-year-old MTurk workers are representative of other 20-year-olds. We will send our survey to alumni of the undergraduate business program at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
