Lab Equipment and Setup Subjects will be tested in a research room with a row of four Windows computers separated by dividers placed on the desk between each seating position, preventing subjects from seeing monitors besides theirs or other subjects’ actions. The robbery video will be played using QuickTime and the picture file will be viewed using Windows’ standard picture-file viewer. While watching the video, subjects will be required to use provided earphones. A research assistant will remain in the room (at a desk located behind the subjects) to enforce no interactions among participants, keep time, and reinforce instructions.
