Wiki Version:
**COVID-19, personality and quality of life: Self-enhancement in the time of pandemic** **Project dates:** 20 April, 2020 - 31 December, 2020. **Project goal:** We plan to examine the role of dark personality in predicting quality of life during COVID-19 pandemic. We examine the mediating role of beliefs (health, conspiracy, magical) and behaviors in the link between personality and human functioning during pandemic in cross-cultural context. **Main Hypothesis:** We expect that dark personality will focus on self-interest in adopting to the pandemic, so people characterised by these traits engage in hoarding and prevention, only if this prevention will be perceived as not effort-related. Narcissistic people will function well, but only if they do not manifest antagonistic attitudes. This effect will be moderated by culture, affluence, effectivity, severity of the pandemic, policies aimed to deal with the coronavirus.
