Wiki Version:
The experiment will be administered online using Qualtrics as a survey platform and Amazon Mechanical Turk workers as participants. The experiment will consist of an instruction screen where participants will be explained their task. Then they will judge 2 x 11 names (out of 206) of amusement-park rides in two different scenarios in a random order: on a 7-point scale ranging from 1 – very dull to 7 – very adventurous in one scenario and on a 7-point scale ranging from 1 – very safe to 7 – very risky in the other. The scenario describing a hypothetical background situation will be displayed above the names of the rides and the rating scale. All participants will be paid for their completion of the study (20 cents for approx. 2-4 minutes of work).
