Description: Finding and keeping employment is an issue of paramount importance for the societal inclusion and quality of life outcomes in individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions. A project and internet platform by Region Stockholm, Sweden, aims to provide evidence-based and up-to-date information of potentials and risks connected to the choice, education and conductance of a range of professions in the face to a neurodevelopmental condition (Jobbafrisk.se; NPF). In the scope of this project, we review here vocational counselling and primary and secondary prevention research regarding beneficial and possible adverse effects of certain professions and work contexts in ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, language and speech disorders, motor disorders, learning and intellectual disabilities. The review builds on a systematic search in Medline (Ovid), Web of Science (Clarivate), PsycINFO (Ovid) and ERIC (ProQuest). We include studies published between 2010 and 2020 plus systematic reviews prior to 2010. The review will be conducted following the PRISMA extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR): Checklist. and Explanation
