Description: Little is known about the acquisition of connectives during teenager years (from the age of 12 to 18). These years are though particularly interesting to study since it is during this period that teenagers progressively acquire an adult-like ability to understand and produce connectives. In this presentation, we investigate the ability of teenagers aged from 12 to 18 to correctly use four French connectives bound to the written mode: "aussi" to convey consequence relations, "en outre" to convey additive relations, "en effet" to convey causal relations and "toutefois" to convey concessive relations.
