This project is a secondary data analysis. Our aim is to thoroughly examine the psychometrics of two measures commonly used to assess tinnitus bother: the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI; Newman, Jacobson, & Spitzer, 1996) and the Tinnitus Functional Index TFI (TFI; Meikle et al., 2012). Through confirmatory factory analyses and tests of measurement invariance, we will assess whether the two scales measure similar constructs, as well as how well those constructs are measured.
