Description: The study investigates compliance to contemporary COVID-19 social distancing rules in a representative sample of 3300 German citizens. Specifically, the study assesses whether compliance is primarily determined by individuals’ risk perceptions in relation to the pandemic or whether social and economic preferences – including altruism, general risk aversion, and time preferences – shape both compliance behaviour and COVID-19-specific risk preferences.
