This presentation discussed the results of original research conducted with the National Center for Institutional Diversity’s Diversity Scholars Network. (The DSN is a self-identified, multidisciplinary group of scholars at various institutions whose work advances understanding of identity, difference, culture, representation, power, oppression, and inequality). Using an exploratory mixed-methods approach—interviews followed by a survey—we collected information about scholars’ data practices as well as the areas of the data lifecycle where they would benefit from more support.
