****Background:**** Vulnerabilities of physiotherapy, such as of the lack of uniqueness in clinical strategies, sustainability, and the high potential of internal conflicts of interest appear to slow the unleashing potential of physiotherapy for becoming a sustainable resource in the healthcare system. **Aim:** This work aims to present the need for an orientation to achieve sustainable and healthcare-enhancing PT in the form of the Physio2Future model. **Method:** A hypothetical and narrative approach is planned to construct the Physio2Future model. Expert interviews will be conducted with 10 physiotherapists holding different professional positions. A descriptive approach based on content analysis is planned to obtain structured reflections from physiotherapists on the suitability of the model for sustainable physiotherapy. **Expected results:** The descriptive approach in form of the interviews could result in confirmations by the interviewed physiotherapists about the relevance of the model. Also, new ideas to modify the model in kind of its dimensions or variables will expect. **Conflict of interests:** This project is initialized by the developer of the model appearing in it. Therefore, unconscious conflicts of interest cannot be completely ruled out, such as accepting criticism of this model.
