The way in which we process emotional information has a significant effect on our mental wellbeing, but most work to date is based upon Western samples. We report the development and validation of Eastern (Chinese) versions of experimental measures of attentional and interpretative biases. Results showed that measures of interpretation were more robust across cultures than those of interpretation, possibly due to inherent differences in the psychometric properties of the dependent measures. ?
