Wiki Version:
For the sake of transparency, here we provide an overview of the pre-registration for this masther thesis project. Two major deviations are from the pre-registration are: 1. As there was no significant difference in education, socioeconomic status and marital status between both groups, we did not control for them. We initially preregistered that we would add them ad covariates. 2. We reformulated hypotheses a bit, however as can be seen in the "Reformulation of hypotheses" section of the pre-registration, the research questions and the expectations stayed the same. 3. We did some extra exploratory analyses. However we mentioned that they were exploratory and that future research is needed. 4. Finally, we could not recruit the needed amount of participants to get a power of 80%. The population was too small and specific, therefore we tried to recruit as much as participants as possible.
