Chimpanzees Tatu and Loulis, both of whom used the signs of American Sign Language to communicate, moved from their long-time home at Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute to the Fauna Foundation’s sanctuary in 2013. This study compares the variability of their signs before and after moving to their new home.
