Steitler * Lisa > Wilhelmi ---------- ![tabarna seal][3] Abstract -------- Das sogenannte „Politische Testament“ des Königs Ḫattušili I. stellt die bedeutendste Gründungsurkunde des hethitischen Staates (ca. 1700–1200 v. Chr.) dar und ist zugleich einer der faszi-nierendsten altorientalischen Keilschrifttexte überhaupt. Nach der editio princeps vor 80 Jahren wurde der zweisprachige, hethitisch-akkadische, Text jedoch nie wieder Gegenstand einer kritischen Neuedition. Das Vorhaben beab¬sichtigt eine kooperative Neuanalyse des „Testamentes“ im Rahmen eines innovativen, jedoch erprobten close reading Konzepts – des „CuneiForum“. Ein kompetenzübergreifender Ansatz verspricht, einzelne Textpassagen aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven beleuchten zu können. Die gemeinsame Erarbeitung des Gesamttextes, auch anhand neu aufgenommener Fotos und 3D-Modelle, sowie der intensive Austausch über seine Interpretations-möglichkeiten versprechen neue Erkenntnisse und Fortschritte im Verständnis dieser schwierigen und zugleich äußerst bedeutenden Komposition aus der Formationsphase des hethitischen Staates. ---------- The so-called “Political Testament” of king Ḫattušili I represents the most important charter document of the Hittite state (ca. 1700-1200 B.C.); it can also be counted among the most fascinating cuneiform texts of ancient Near East. However, following the editio princeps more than 80 years ago, this bilingual Hittite-Akkadian text was never again the object of a new critical edition. This project is aimed at a cooperative reanalysis of the “Testament” within the framework of an innovative but proven close reading concept – the “CuneiForum”. An interdisciplinary approach promises to illuminate individual text passages from different perspectives. The joint preparation of the text as a whole and the intensive dialogue concerning its interpretative possibilities promise new insights and progress in the understanding of this difficult but extremely important document from the formative period of the Hittite state. ---------- Il cosiddetto “Testamento Politico” del re Ḫattušili I rappresenta il principale documento fondativo del regno ittita (ca. 1700-1200 a.C.) ed uno dei testi più affascinanti della tradizione cuneiforme vicino-orientale. Dopo l’editio princeps, che risale a più di 80 anni fa, questa bilingue ittito-accadica non è più stata oggetto di un’edizione critica complessiva. L’incontro mira ad effettuare una nuova analisi del “Testamento”, utilizzando un innovativo, ma collaudato metodo di lettura approfondita di iscrizioni cuneiformi – il “CuneiForum” – e coinvolgendo nell’esame del testo esperti con competenze diverse e allo stesso tempo complementari tra loro.
