Wiki Version:
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) can cause morphological brain alterations across the lifespan, may manifest as mental and physical disorders even years later in adulthood. Yet, potential lifestyle components of this association have not been addressed. Hence, this project aimes to investigate the protective effects of comprehensive healthy lifestyle behaviours on the ACE related brain alterations and mental health. This study will contribute to understanding if proven lifestyle interventions could be adopted to the clinical care of ACEs and guide interventional studies that will address negative impacts of ACEs on mental health.
