Wiki Version:
White Americans read negatively- or neutrally-framed projections of a racial demographic shift, or a race-neutral control. They reported their perceptions of relative racial groups status change, and the extent to which they felt threatened by that change. A racial shift raised perceptions of status change regardless of political ideology, but only increased threat for White conservatives, decreasing threat for White liberals. This pattern occurred in response to both the negatively and neutrally framed racial shift articles.
