Wiki Version:
This panel is focused on career opportunities for people with PhDs in music or a related field. In addition to the “traditional” academic job market, there are many career paths that draw on the skills learned in graduate school, such as research and teaching. The four speakers in this panel will discuss their own career trajectories and offer advice for people interested in learning more about non-tenure track careers. The panel format will include short presentations by each panelist, a general Q&A session with all panelists, followed by breakout rooms with each panelist. Following the panel, a resource list will be shared with attendees to help answer more specific questions.
