This project contains a preprint and additional materials for the article "Can Other-Derogation Be Beneficial? Seeing Others as Low in Agency Can Lead to an Agentic Reputation in Newly Formed Face-To-Face Groups" that is accepted for publication at the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. For Study 1 and 2, this project contains detailed original descriptions and codebooks, various robustness checks, and raw data and R-code reproducing the manuscript's key findings. Further, there are lists of prior publications using data from these studies. For Study 2, one of the publications is also cited and listed in the reference list of the main manuscript. For Study 3, this project contains all study materials and a detailed description of the sampling and analysis plan. **The preregistration attached to this project pertains to Study 3.**
