This project was presented as an ARES (Northwestern Psychology Graduate Student Workshop) on December 7, 2020 by Cassandra Brandes & Nikita Salovich. Description:
Twitter presents unmatched opportunities for early career researchers to make their research known, stay up-to-date on current methods and academic conversations, and build a community. This ARES workshop will cover the ins and outs of using Twitter for academic networking and communicating your research, including the benefits of academic Twitter, how and what to contribute, online community norms, and how to build a Twitter presence.
Come excited to think and write about your research creatively and concisely. We'll cap off the ARES with a mini workshop focusing on the ins and outs of sharing your research via "Twitter threads", with the goal of getting one of your past, current, or future projects ready to be shared with the Twitterverse.
