Wiki Version:
The 3D MRI images that accompany this paper were supposed to be available permanently through the Wily Biolucida server at wiley.biolucida.net, however they no longer seem to be accessible there, at least not any way I can figure out. To help solve this, I've uploaded the files here so that they can be downloaded by anyone. A good resource for viewing these files is ITKSnap, which is freeware and can be downloaded here: http://www.itksnap.org/. The resources associated with this paper are: CdecresiiManuscript.pdf - the version of record of this paper. CdecresiiModel.nii - the MRI model of the Ctenophorus decresii brain created for this manuscript. Figures 4-36 of the paper are 2D images taken from this model. The model is in NIFTI format. CdecresiiAtlas.pdf - This is the atlas exactly as presented in the paper (Figures 4-36 and Table 1) but trimmed of all the rest of the paper and presented in their original resolutions. CdecresiiHead.nii - the MRI of an intact Ctenophorus decresii head, used to generate Figure 2 of the paper. Taxonomic note: Dong et al., 2021 (https://doi.org/10.1643/h2020064) split Ctenophorus decresii in to two species. The specimens used to make the MRI brain model and atlas therefore no-longer belong to the species C. decresii. They now belong to the species Ctenophorus modestus.
