Wiki Version:
Our first study of this topic, an exploratory one using the dual-RSVP paradigm of Goodbourn & Holcombe (2015), found that video gamers had markedly superior temporal precision (but not significantly better efficacy or latency) in a dual RSVP task than musicians and controls. We decided to conduct a confirmatory study of this unexpected finding, using an attentional blink task that is described in Cellini et al. (2015). With this attentional blink task, we will again measure the temporal precision, efficacy and latency of selection.
