In this first lesson, you'll find a set of videos and slides that go over the basics of power analyses. We'll cover what exactly power is, why doing power analyses are important, what you'll need to do basic power analyses as well as the specifics of how to do power analyses using a few programs, such as R and G*Power. In later lessons we'll cover more advanced topics related to power analyses for more complicated statisticial tests, as well as how to optimize study designs to obtain high power while not wasting resources.
