Wiki Version:
The [introductory presentation from kick-off meeting (Figshare)][1] is a good place to get an overview of the project. We hope to share the majority of our reports, information, related articles on OSF - if you are interested in contributing please get in contact. Over the next few months we will be working on the first task in the workpackage: the landscape analysis. This will cover all the tool and service types that will be developed later in the project including: - Optical character / handwriting recognition data capture and analysis - Data mining and linkage - Image analysis - Georeferencing - Human interaction and crowdsourcing - Workflow and tools registry Links & Literature: - Specimens as Research Objects: Reconciliation across Distributed Repositories to Enable Metadata Propagation ([Paper][2]) ([Presentation][3]) - [I'll take that to go: Big data bags and minimal identifiers for exchange of large, complexatasets][4] (using minids and ROs) - [Enabling precision medicine via standard communication of HTS provenance, analysis, and results][4] - [Identifiers for the 21st century: How to design, provision, and reuse persistent identifiers to maximize utility and impact of life science data][5] - http://biocomputeobject.org/ - http://bioschemas.org - http://identifiers.org - http://fairsharing.org - http://researchobject.org [1]: https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.7770272 [2]: https://arxiv.org/abs/1809.07725 [3]: https://figshare.com/articles/Specimens_as_Research_Objects_Reconciliation_across_Distributed_Repositories_to_Enable_Metadata_Propagation/7327325/1 [4]: https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pbio.3000099 [5]: https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pbio.2001414
