Wiki Version:
Dr Declan O’Regan and his colleagues at the [MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences][1] (Imperial College London) are using machine learning to interpret cardiac MRI and other health data to more accurately predict patient survival. In this multi-centre study, funded by the [BHF][2], they will develop new algorithms for motion tracking in the heart and apply novel machine learning approaches for prediction using complex 3D input data. They will then perform a blinded external validation compared to a well establish risk-stratification score.
