The course was first created by Suzy J Styles in 2013, and under development since then. In 2019 the class was redesigned as a Research Lab class. Discussion topics have been a part of the class structure since its initiation. As part of the move to online classes in 2020, small-group discussions have taken place in Zoom breakout rooms, where groups of up to 5 students work together on a collaborative notes document, which they share back with the class. The group's presenter is randomly allocated each week by a Random Reporter, which helps to diversify which voices have a share of discussion time over the course of the semester. Read more about the [Random Reporter Discussion Technique][10] This archive is currently under development to reflect the full range of discussion topics.
