Description: Research Lab on Language in Perception and Thought is a 4000-level class in Psychology at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, with a cross-listed graduate classs. The class includes interactive discussions on a variety of language topics - including topics that are important for contextualizing what we mean by 'language'. In each discussion session small groups work together to create a collaborative notes doc about their solution to the questions. Each group's conclusions are shared back with the class by the Random Reporter. The discussion is suitable for synchronous classrooms either in person or online with breakout rooms (where the 'notes' slide can be duplicated for each discussion group). This collection includes discussion questions, collaborative document templates, and followup notes from different weeks of the class, with editable slides and sample student answers. The archive is currently under construction based on class discussions held in 2020 and 2021.
