Wiki Version:
This repository contains preprocessed fMRI data, behavioral task data and analysis scripts, as well as stimulus presentation scripts for the publication The specificity of orientation-tuned normalization within human early visual cortex by Klimova, Bloem, and Ling (2021), published in Journal of Neurophysiology. Stimulus presentation code - Folder contains Matlab scripts for the presentation of the localizer stimulus as well as the main task. The scripts use Psychophysics Toolbox. Preprocessed fMRI data - Each observer's folder contains preprocessed fMRI data as a .mat file and the design matrix for that observer. Behavioral data and behavioral task analysis - Contains the output .mat files (2 per observer) with keypress responses for the central fixation task. fMRI data analysis - Contains Matlab and R scripts that carry out the analyses and generate figures in the paper. - when running these scripts, make sure the directory structure from OSF is preserved, and run Analysis_TunedNormalizationBandwidth.m from the fMRI data analysis directory. - some of the .m files output data as .csv, which are used for later analysis - at the top of stat_analyses.R, a choice can be made whether the script will load and analyze data from the whole-ROI fit, or voxelwise fits.
