Wiki Version:
**PARTICIPANTS:** Undergraduate students from a small, liberal arts university in the Pacific Northwest enrolled in these studies. A majority of our participants were Caucasian, between the ages of 18-22, and female, which accounted for a female-heavy sample in all four of our studies. Participants self-selected the date and time in which they would complete the study using an online “Experiment Sign-up” system published by Sona Systems Ltd. Participant reimbursement came in the form of research familiarization credits needed to pass an introductory psychology course or receive additional credit for other psychology modules. All participants were treated according to APA ethical guidelines. **SETTING:** Participants completed the task-based interactions while seated at a central table; a stationary camcorder overlooking the table was in clear view of the students. They completed pre-test and post-test measures at adjacent desktop computer before returning to the table for subsequent interactions. A blue curtain hung opposite of the participants to reduce the chance of external stimuli confounding the motion identified by the MEA software. **See the screenshot attached below for an example of our lab set-up (please ignore colored maps).*
