Wiki Version:
Basic Replication Analyses The original paper describes simple t-tests and odds ratios comparing the primary DVs, comparing them both between age groups within each sex, and comparing sexes in each age group. This same procedure will be used in our own analyses. Extension Analyses To see if any of the proposed moderators (importance of emancipation and SOI-R) affect the strength of the differences, we will conduct moderated regression analyses. The conditions will be contrast coded and the continuous moderator variables will be mean-centered. The DVs will be regressed onto the contrast coded and mean-centered predictors. Any significant interaction will be probed at plus/minus 1 SD of the continuous measure's mean.
