## Directions in Conservation Biology Revisited
In 1994, Greame Caughley (1994) published a seminal paper in the *Journal of Animal Ecology*, describing two paradigms in conservation biology; the small population paradigm and the declining population paradigm. Since then, fundamental technological and societal changes have altered the way we perform our science. Most notably, the Open Science Era have place renewed focus on scientific rigour, transparency and replicability. In addition, societal changes have resulted in increased focus on large scale studies of biodiversity dynamics. These changes creates new opportunities, but also create some new challenges that must be tackled to ensure conservation biology deliver robust ansvers to pressing questions concerning the future of the global biodiversity.
The work in this repository emerged from lab-discussions among the authors, and gradually evolved into what is presented here.
