**Original citation.** MJ Yap, DA Balota, CS Tse, D Besner. (2008) On the additive effects of stimulus quality and word frequency in lexical decision: evidence for opposing interactive influences revealed by RT distributional analyses. *Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 34*(3), 495-513. **Target of replication.** The key effect in experiment four, demonstrating an interaction between stimulus quality and word frequency during a task where participants categorized words and nonwords, F(1, 31) = 5.17, p = .03. **A priori replication criteria.** A successful replication would find a significant interaction between stimulus quality and word frequency where there is "a larger frequency effect for degraded words." A draft of the replication report can be seen [here][1]. [1]: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oJO01kkgGmL5iqwGVdMHScBrjbCLuwO0HlPlDtfWCz4/edit
