Description: This is a replication of the second experiment (Experiment 2a) in a series of experiments, with Experiment 2a preregistered at https://osf.io/re5mw/ with the title: “Training effects of healthy vs. hedonic health perspectives on food choice: No training baseline experiment”. We will refer to the new experiment being preregistered here as Experiment 2b. Experiment 1 was a highly similar but slightly different experiment, with similar results, which wasn’t preregistered because of its exploratory nature. The preregistered experiment being replicated (Experiment 2a) produced results somewhat contrary to our initial hypotheses, along with additional unexpected results discovered in exploratory analyses. Because all of these results make sense now as a whole (from a principled theoretical perspective), we want to predict that they will occur in an exact replication of the previous experiment (Experiment 2b).
