Wiki Version:
This was the first in the ACCS Knowledge Share Series for 2022, and was the 12th event in the series. The session was presented by Drs Hoang Nguyen, James Springfield and Nicholas Condon from The University of Queensland, who showcased their amazing and innovative work creating the Image Processing Portal (IPP) at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB). The IPP integrates instruments with the data collections (RDM) and the Characterisation Virtual Laboratory (CVL) to create a seamless user experience. In this video, James explains the rationale and context for the IPP. Nick provides a detailed and very elegant demonstration of the data types that the platform works with, and how the portal itself functions to integrate data acquisition into collections, automated pre-processing steps and visualisation with the CVL. Towards the end, Hoang discusses the architecture in greater detail from a technical perspective. The video of this session is also shared on the ImagingTools YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/n4X0_kQkIDM. 24 people from 9 institutions attended. This repository holds: 1. anonymised participation statistics (as *.csv); 2. presentation materials (3 files as *.pptx and *.pdf); and 3. the zoomcast of the webinar (as *.mp4).
