Description: Undernutrition is distinguished by insufficient intake of energy or nutrients to maintain good health and includes stunting, wasting and underweight. Despite progress towards some of the 2025 global nutrition targets, undernutrition persists at unacceptably high levels. Worldwide, the rates of undernutrition have been rising since 2015, and childhood undernutrition is an especially urgent public health challenge in Sub-Saharan Africa. This systematic review aims to determine the effectiveness of interventions to address undernutrition in children under five in Sub-Saharan Africa.
