Datasets to accompany paper "Avoiding Silo Thinking : Integrating Psychological Insights into Farming Net Zero Policy Commitments"

This paper investigates the psychological factors influencing farmers' adoption of Net Zero policies through two studies. The first study explores attitudes of UK farmers towards Net Zero, identifying seven latent factors affecting their adoption. The second study validates these factors with additional samples from the UK and the US, demonstrating significant associations between these psychological factors and self-reported sustainable farming behaviors. By integrating diverse psychological perspectives, this research provides valuable insights into the motivational, cognitive, and social processes underpinning sustainable farming practices, offering a comprehensive model for understanding and promoting farmers' engagement with Net Zero initiatives.
