Wiki Version:
Purpose: -------- Many different surgical approaches are established for the repair of pelvic organ prolapse. Especially in laparoscopic surgery, it is important to generate fast and simple methods without a loss of stability. This study should simplify the choice of mesh by evaluating three polypropylene meshes regarding their biomechanical properties. 4 types of trials were conducted. Group 1 (n = 12) evaluated the SERATEX® SlimSling® with a unilateral fixation (SSU). Group 2 (n = 10) contained the same mesh with a bilateral fixation (SSB). Group 3 (n = 9) assessed SERATEX® E11 PA (E11) and Group 4 (n = 10) SERATEX® B3 PA (B3).
