Wiki Version:
The 'Star Search Game' is a game that was used to engage 4- to 7-year-olds in an online lab testing. The online lab testing is conducted through the 'Zoom' screen sharing function. This game uses a storyline about a magical world to capture young participants' attention and engaged them sufficiently for online experimental tasks to be completed successfully. Experimenters are free to use the storyline and template slides for their online experiments, by substituting the placeholder slides with their own testing materials. Two files are attached. The first is the Powerpoint slides with placeholder slides for experimenters to use. The second is the protocol document that explains how the slides should be utilized as experimenters integrate their own online testing materials within the template story. Note: Powerpoint slides should be saved as *.pptm format to enable macro. Enabling macro is needed for features such as the randomizer slides button to function.
