Wiki Version:
This project contains data used for the publication "Speech pauses in speakers with and without aphasia: a usage-based approach", by Sebastian Bello-Lepe, Sabrina Mahmood, Rosemary Varley and Vitor Zimmerer, to appear in Cortex at the time of writing. The files are: - OSF Prereg TemplatePauseDuration.docx (preregistration of analysis) - rawdata.csv (language output with pause values and frequency values) - filtered for LMEs and Hurdle models (dataset used for modelling the effect of lexical frequency, collocation strength, part-of-speech and aphasia on pauses - Unigramanalysis.vz.R (script for analysis based on lexical frequency) - Bigramanalysis.vz.R (script for analysis based on collocation strength - BNTcorrelation.csv (data for the (post-hoc) analysis of effect of aphasia severity as measured by Boston Naming Test scores) Analysis was carried out by Sebastian Bello-Lepe. Sebastian died days after the paper was accepted by reviewers. However, the files on the repository were not final and were therefore edited by Vitor Zimmerer. The pre-registration has not been affected by these changes. The document on OSF is the original pre-registration and the manuscript follows it. If you have any questions or require further information, please get in touch with Vitor Zimmerer: v.zimmerer@ucl.ac.uk
