The first lesson provides a brief introduction to the **different aspects of Open Science** and focuses on the role of the librarian in that context. Next, the topic **Research Data Management** is discussed, pinpointing specific phases of the research data life cycle that will be explored in the first three lessons. After that introductory session, the students do a deep dive into the **data management plan**, aided with real-life examples and an adaptation of the [DMP bingo][1].
