Wiki Version:
Details of projects applying to the Royal Geographical Society for support between 1913 and 1970, drawing on the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award project 'Terra incognita: women in the expedition archives 1913-1970' by Dr Sarah L. Evans. Further information about the project is available here: https://www.rgs.org/our-collections/research-using-our-collections/collaborative-doctoral-research/terra-incognita There are two resources listed. The first - Overview - summarises applications from project/expeditions, outcomes, and key information about the expedition. Each project/expedition is assigned an 'Expedition ID' and an 'Expedition Short Name'. The second resource - Evans Expeditions - has four tabs - Expeditions, Support, Roles, People. The Expedition ID for each project connects together details for that expedition across the different data sheets. In addition to key data, this resource also includes detailed reference to sources in the RGS-IBG Collections, and additional notes and comments from Evans as she carried out the research.
