Wiki Version:
This OSF project page includes data, analyses, and supplementary materials for the following paper: Waltzer, T., & Dahl, A. (in press). Why do students cheat? Perceptions, evaluations, and motivations. *Ethics & Behavior.* **Additional materials.** We have shared other materials relevant to the project, such as conference posters based on this work. **Analyses.** Analyses were conducted in R. R scripts are available in the folder. Additional analyses, reported in the SOM, are also included in a subfolder. **Data.** The anonymized data files for Study 1 and Study 2 are available. Note, however, that all of the participants' transcribed open-ended statements were masked to protect confidentiality. Researchers who wish to know more about the data can contact the authors. **Coding schemes.** The open-ended data was categorized using several established coding schemes. The full definitions of categories that researchers used when coding the data are provided in this folder. **Interview materials.** The full interview protocols for both studies are available. We also included documents used as hard copies during the interview (e.g., checklist to mark responses in real time).
