**INTRODUCTION** With music being a core aspect of expressing one’s personality and with the power to evoke human emotions, the exact effects should be examined and recorded for better musical use, and or find useful medical uses for music. **AIM OF EXPERIMENT** This experiment aims to explore how different genres of music effects the minds and the mood of people listening to such music, and if different cultures have an effect. **METHOD** More detailed Method in Components. A questionaire was used to record the feelings of people after listening to a sample of a genre of music. The answers to the questionaire generates a score. The different scores for different genres were compared, and each country was also compared. **Intended outcomes** - Find the emotion each genre of music invokes. - Find if different cultures and upbringing have an effect on the different feelings invoked. - Find the best genre of music that invokes happiness and the best that invokes sadness.
