Wiki Version:
**Thank you for attending!** (NOTE: this is the second of three webinars in the series. Materials for the first webinar can be found [here][1].) An MP4 video of this webinar is now available on the [Webinar Materials][2] page. The [Canadian Institute for Ecology and Evolution][3] and NSERC-CREATE "Living Data Project" present the following webinar: **Best Practices for Managing Research Data in Ecology and Evolution** **Presenters:** Mayu Ishida and Sally Taylor, UBC Vancouver campus **When:** Tuesday, June 16 9:00-10:30am Pacific Daylight Time **Description:** Good research data management (RDM) is the foundation for being able to share data for reproducible science and data syntheses, comply with journal requirements, or simply stay organized during your research project. In this webinar, we’ll introduce you to a tool for data management planning (DMP), and cover the best practices of RDM, including describing your data, security and storage, data sharing, and data repositories. Even if you are well into your project, it’s not late to develop good RDM habits! **About the Presenters** **Mayu Ishida** is a science librarian at Woodward Library (UBC-Vancouver), providing research support to students and faculty in biology, computer science, mathematics, and statistics, and teaching research data management workshops to graduate students in all disciplines. **Sally Taylor** is currently the Interim Head of the Woodward Library (UBC-Vancouver). Previously she was a science librarian for many years, with a 6-month stint in 2019 as Research Data Services Librarian. **Outline** 1. Welcome & introductions 2. Research data and RDM 3.
