The [O5S5 ASL project members](https://sites.google.com/gallaudet.edu/o5s5asl/o5s5-project-team) have created ELAN transcripts for each participant in each open-acess video, adding [ID glosses using ASL Signbank](https://youtu.be/l0Vj6uFUj7khttps://youtu.be/l0Vj6uFUj7k) for individual signs. If available, the English translations are available as captions in the YouTube video and in our [ELAN transcripts (.eafs)](https://archive.mpi.nl/tla/elan). The ID glosses, which are sign-by-sign English labels to make the video data machine-readable, are only available in our ELAN transcripts (.eafs). You need to download the [ELAN program](https://archive.mpi.nl/tla/elan) to open .eafs but you can also right-click and open them as text-only files to read them in their [xml format](https://www.w3.org/standards/xml/core#:~:text=What%20is%20XML%3F,more%20suitable%20for%20Web%20use.). To cite the collection of transcripts, see citation information on the main page for O5S5 ASL Transcripts (top right). To cite individual transcripts, treat it as a chapter in a book with the transcript collection as the book itself. And note the specific annotators who contributed to each .eaf, their initials are in the filenames. Julie A. Hochgesang (JAH) has supervised the annotation of O5S5 ASL videos. Julie and Ryan Lepic (RL) have also supervised annotation efforts through classes (Gallaudet University) and if permitted, have shared those annotator names in the transcripts themselves (see filenames or tier attributes). Emily Shaw (ES) has supervised the translation (free translation) through the Department of Interpretation and Translation (DOIT) lab, Gallaudet University. If permitted, the translator names are included in the transcripts themselves (see filenames or tier attributes).
