Wiki Version:
We will reverse scored responses to allocation that favored the ending outgroup in the data collection procedure. Participants rated their agreement (1 – Strongly disagree, 7 – Strongly agree) with seven allocations of bonus points that were to be awarded to members of both groups. Six allocations were unequal (one team would receive more points than the other), with three allocations favoring the ingroup and three favoring the outgroup. Ingroup favoritism was calculated by averaging the agreement towards all six of the unequal distributions. We will then run an ANOVA on the data with change (1=change, same = 1), blue end group (blue=1, green=0), and their interaction. We predict no interaction and higher ingroup favoritism in the group that stayed in the same gorup versus the group that switched.
